Ever since Little Andy Mountain Cabins officially started in April 2021, I have been wanting to start a blog, but you know, life happens. So here I sit while my family quarantines with COVID capitalizing on my time and moving on to my next goal, blogging about my business and North Georgia Mountains!
As Little Andy Mountain Cabins officially started in 2021, we have had Cozy Cabin & Roundhouse on Airbnb since 2016! In January 2021, Little Andy Lookout hit the rental market! Then in June, Aananda Lookout Lodge & Alpine Sweet joined the cabin collection and shortly thereafter Snowdrift Cabin & The Hummingbird were part of the mixture. Lastly, in Oct of 2021 Fireside Chat was the absolute perfect addition (there is an awesome story behind Fireside Chat, but I will save that for a future blog post)!
As the business grew much quicker than anticipated, as you can imagine my time was limited especially with two kids at home (Reilly was virtual and 6 and Fin was 1)! So here we are 9 months later with my first blog post!
My parents built their first (at the time) vacation home in 2006. In 2008, I moved into the vacation home while attending grad school. Now this is my parents full time residence on Little Andy Mountain! So, while I am not a native to the North Georgia Mountains, I have spent a good amount of time there! We love how beautiful the mountains are, the scenic drives, the hiking, tubing, zip lining and, of course, the wineries (each to have their own future blogs)!
Taking a more in depth look at the cabins… lets look at guest favorites… Cozy Cabin & Little Andy Lookout have been time and time again guest favorites with repeating guests annually. While each of our cabins have something unique and appealing, these two have won a special place in many guest’s hearts! Cozy is our most wallet friendly cabin set in a wooded environment with the perfect charm! Guests rave about swinging on porch swing drinking coffee or exploring the small trail out back while Little Andy Lookout has 71 five-star reviews and is situated on 2 stories with 2 bedrooms on each and a kitchenette downstairs to give two separate kitchens and living areas. Alpine Sweet is our most booked cabin! This cabin is a simple and sweet 2 bedroom but the drive there isn’t for the faint of hearts (but it is pet friendly & lots of privacy). Roundhouse is our 3/2 literally ROUND house!! The super unique style of this cabin attracts lots of guests looking for something a little different and, I mean, it’s kind of cool to say you stayed in a yurt! If you are coming to the mountains for a staycation or looking for something with lots of amenities, then Aananda Lookout Lodge & The Hummingbird are your cabins! Both cabins have an ample list of amenities that are sure to please both adults and kids alike. …and don’t get me started on views, The Hummingbird has hands down the best (long-range tiered) mountain views! Snowdrift Cabin has the true cabin feel décor and an awesome floorplan! With the master on the main & a half bath for the living areas and downstairs two separate bedrooms and bathrooms, it works perfect for multiple families or groups that want some privacy (killer views, too)! The porch downstairs in also screened in and has the hot tub & firepit- perfect for the summer! Last but definitely not least is Fireside Chat… this cabin is quickly becoming a winner over guests with a farmhouse, modern vibe! With amazing antiques scattered throughout and chic décor, you will feel right at home here! Take a swing on the porch swing and gaze at the mountains or a dip in the brand-new hot tub!
